Winter 2003 / Spring 2004

                            Working to protect our countryside....

Friday 5th December 2003   -   Society Quiz Night

Members who have attended our Annual Quiz usually come back for more. We play as teams so don't be afraid of the dreaded mental block.  Oh yes, and please bring along food for the spread. There will be prizes.  Come and extend your circle of friends and enjoy a pleasant evening.

Friday 23rd January 2004   -  Local Nature Reserves

Talk with slides by Colin Holm of the East Riding Council

Friday 20th February 2004  -  British Mammals

Jon Trail of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust continues with his series of meetings on wildlife. Jon's last meeting on the Harvest Mouse was a great success and this one is sure to be the same.

Sunday 7th March 2004  -  Wood Working Party

Working from 2pm to 4pm, meet at the entrance near the notice board for tree planting and other tasks.

Sunday 14th March 2004  -  WARCS Annual Clean Up

Starting at 10am at Welton. We were few in number last year and we did not finish the task so if you can, PLEASE help.  There is parking at the top of Chapel Hill and on Holly Hill (Straight on past the pond), making our way to Ferriby.  We have gloves, picking up sticks and bags.  We shall take the rubbish to the tip and recycle whatever possible.

Sunday 4th April 2004  -  Wood working Party
