Community Tree Planting Event

WARCS volunteers gather for a hedge planting session at the

site for the new wildflower meadow.

 THE SOCIETY’S MEADOW:

The group recently received approximately 400 native broadleaved trees free from the Woodland Trust which they have planted adjacent to their wood on Brantingham road to enclose an area designated to be a wildflower meadow. A large group of society volunteers turned out to plant a range of trees including hawthorne, blackthorne, hazel, rowan, silver birch and oak.
